Factory-made Housing: a solution for London
New London Architecture has just launched a new exhibition, research paper and series of events to investigate the role of factory methods in delivering the homes London needs. Exploring everything from modular and fully factory fabricated homes through to more innovative approaches and how modern methods of construction can unlock difficult sites, it is a comprehensive look at how architects and manufacturers are finding new ways to meet the current housing demand.
Facit Homes is proud to have been included in the programme, with our home for Terry and Mickey featuring as a case study of an individual home.

The developments in London's modern architecture look impressive, especially with Facit Homes focusing on sustainability and precision. It’s nice to see how different builders approach urban development—similar to the contrasts in style you notice with pulte vs lennar in the U.S. market. Innovative methods like digital manufacturing definitely set a high bar. Great to see these thoughtful changes happening in architecture today!
