Facit Homes featured on House Planning Help podcast

The future of house building is digitising construction.

Bruce Bell, CEO and Founder of Facit Homes, joined Ben Adam-Smith for his latest House Planning Help podcast. They discuss the origins of Facit Homes, the potential of digital manufacturing and why construction needs to change.

Drawn to the potential of using digital manufacturing for building homes while working in architecture, Bruce’s unique journey to establish Facit Homes as an innovative alternative led to an interesting discussion on the key differences between prefabrication and digital manufacturing in construction.

“Bruce Bell's working life has been spent at the intersection between the digital side of construction and architecture. He originally studied industrial design but then went on to work for Norman Foster's architecture practice in London.”

Touching on how a typical project works, Bruce described what happens behind the scenes and explained Facit Homes’ holistic approach to sustainability and digitising traditional processes as much as possible. Digital connectivity in the industry is key.

Ben also spoke to our first ever Facit Homes customers, Diana and Celia, in 2014 to explore the innovation and experience of their project.
