New Model for Urban Housing:
North London
On a compact urban site where others saw constraints, Facit Homes saw potential. This North London development of 27 homes across two pedestrian-friendly streets demonstrates how intelligent design and innovative construction can transform underutilized Greybelt land into thriving, sustainable communities.

Working as both architect and builder, we delivered a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes that combine contemporary character with future-proofed performance. Each home features modern sustainability standards including air-source heat pumps and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, all achieved within a mid-range specification that maintains commercial viability.
The secret lies in our integrated approach. By controlling the entire process from initial design through to on-site assembly, we reduced construction time by 50% compared to traditional methods while providing cost certainty through early fixed-price agreements. The result is homes that are both quicker to deliver and better to live in.

Thoughtful design touches create a streetscape that feels established and welcoming. Gently articulated facades step in and out to break up massing, while corten steel planters add warmth and texture to the car-free shared spaces. It's a demonstration of how considered architecture can foster community from day one.
For landowners and developers, this project represents more than just housing - it's a blueprint for unlocking difficult urban sites. Our approach turns planning challenges into opportunities, delivering characterful homes at pace without compromising on quality or sustainability.
