Bywater Feasibility study

Bywater Properties is a London-based developer focused on sustainable, low-carbon buildings, with a strong commitment to timber construction. Facit conducted feasibility studies for Bywater on apartment block developments in South London, designed by Waugh Thistleton Architects.

The proposed buildings featured a compact, stepped design to integrate with the hillside terrain. With backing from Sumitomo Forestry, Bywater Properties is dedicated to building with timber, making Facit's advanced digital manufacturing system a compelling solution for their Build to Rent ambitions. Our approach aligned seamlessly with their sustainability goals, offering precision-engineered, low-carbon homes with minimal waste and on-site production to reduce transport emissions. By leveraging our technology-driven construction process, we demonstrated how high-quality, sustainable housing could be delivered efficiently while maintaining the environmental integrity central to Bywater’s vision.
