On-Site Manufacturing

We have pioneered on-site manufacturing through the use of Microfactories, a distinctive approach that integrates advanced technology directly at the construction site. Unlike traditional factory-based methods, we deploy containerized Microfactories to the site itself, where we manufacture our Facit Chassis on location. This method provides significant advantages over conventional perceptions of factory-based (pre-fab) construction.
On-site manufacturing offers us the agility to deploy our Microfactory rapidly, allowing construction to commence much sooner than with other approaches. By transitioning directly from production to assembly, we can adapt to the realities of the construction site and make component adjustments with ease. This approach greatly minimizes the need for transporting large building elements and eliminates the requirement for disruptive cranes on-site.
Mobile Production Facility

At the core of our Microfactory is our containerized CNC machine, known as the Mobile Production Facility (MPF). This custom-built system, developed by Facit, has been utilized over 16 years of home construction. With our MPF, we cut plywood and assemble the Facit Components that form the basis of our Facit Chassis.
Digital Craft

CNC-cut plywood parts emerge from the machine and are then assembled by hand to create our Facit Components. This blend of digital precision and skilled manual assembly forms what we call a new digital craft in homebuilding. By combining automated cutting technology with human craftsmanship, we achieve an unparalleled balance of accuracy and adaptability. This process allows us to maintain a high standard of quality while being flexible enough to customize and adapt components on-site as needed. The integration of digital and manual techniques redefines the construction process, fostering innovation and promoting efficiency without sacrificing the bespoke touch that high-end homebuilding demands.
