The Bjorndal Family commissioned our Danish partners based in Copenhagen to build a replacement for the family holiday home which was in a bad state of repair. Facit Homes designers Frederik and Nicholas came up with a fantastic design created specifically to fit in to the delicate forest surroundings.

The architecture is defined by a series of angles pitches and covered verandas, making the most of natural light and views through the woods.

All of the components are manufactured to 0.2mm accuracy with specially design self locating parts which are assembled by hand, simply and quickly.

As with all Facit Homes the structure is super insulated and air tight through careful detailing and assembly. This means that very little heat is lost - a simple wood burning stove provides enough heat for the 125m2 of floor area and a new type of heat recovering window that provides fresh air in an air tight house.
